Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Huaxia processes, how the app uses it, and what controls you have. Huaxia is designed as a local-first memory app and does not require an account for normal use.
1. Information Processed by Huaxia
Huaxia may process the following categories of information on your device when you use the app:
- photos you choose to import through the iOS photo picker;
- generated thumbnails and visual assets used for the physics-based interface;
- photo metadata that may already exist in the image, such as capture date and location coordinates;
- memo text or notes that you add inside the app;
- app settings, selected material theme, coin balance, and processed purchase identifiers required for in-app functionality.
2. Local-First Design
Huaxia is designed to work primarily on-device. Imported images, generated thumbnails, card notes, and local display metadata are stored locally on your device to support features such as Moments, Memory Atlas, Shuffle Deck, focus mode, and the interactive physics box.
3. Photo Library Access
Huaxia uses Apple's PHPicker interface so you can explicitly choose which photo to import. This means the app works with the items you select instead of requiring unrestricted access to your full photo library.
4. Metadata and Location Information
If a selected image contains metadata, Huaxia may read the capture date, time zone offset, and GPS coordinates from that image to display contextual details and render location-based views such as Memory Atlas. If a photo does not contain location data, the related experience may remain empty or show an unavailable state.
5. Motion and Device Sensors
Huaxia uses device motion data, such as tilt and shake signals, to drive real-time gravity and interaction effects in the physics scene. This sensor input is used to animate the experience on-device and is not intended to create a personal profile about you.
6. In-App Purchases and Coins
Huaxia offers coin purchases through Apple's StoreKit framework. Apple processes billing and payment details. Huaxia receives only the transaction results and product identifiers needed to grant coins and prevent duplicate delivery.
7. Sharing and Disclosure
Huaxia is not designed as a social sharing service. We do not sell your imported photos or memo content. Information may be disclosed only when required to comply with law, enforce rights, respond to valid legal process, or protect users, the app, or the public.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data remains on your device until you delete it inside the app, remove the app, clear the relevant device storage, or otherwise erase the device. If you email us for support, we may retain the information you voluntarily include in your message for customer support and legal compliance purposes.
9. Children
Huaxia is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law to provide valid consent on their own. If you believe a child provided personal information through a support request, contact us so we can review the matter.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or platform rules. The updated version will become effective when it is made available in the app or with the app distribution.
